Donald Jrump has destroyed Earth and there's hell toupee. Draw walls, escape politicians and help make the galaxy great again!

It’s 2017. After Donald Jrump’s 2016 election win, borders slam shut, climate research stops, and brick sales skyrocket. As chaos reigns and his tiny hands sweat, Donald sets out to make the galaxy great again the only way he knows how - by jumping on his favorite things: walls.

The Journey

Jrump was the first game I truly shipped end-to-end. I’d designed multiple titles before that, but none had made it all the way to release.

This one was a wild sprint: we built and launched the entire game in just 12 weeks, getting it out four weeks before the 2016 US election. With a tiny team of four, we pulled off what felt impossible - and it paid off.

The game went viral, hitting the front pages of outlets like the Huffington Post, Mashable, The Verge, and Rolling Stone. The satirical angle, paired with strong marketing and punchy gameplay, really gave it legs. Topping that off we won multiple awards and were nominated for multiple IMGAs.

Key Contributions

Built in Unity, this was my first real foray into shipping a complete game. I’d designed several projects before, but none had gone all the way through full development and release. My key contributions were:

+ Game Design: I designed all of the core mechanics and gameplay loops, working closely with the gameplay engineer to shape and refine them. I also mapped out the moment-to-moment, minute-to-minute, and hour-to-hour objectives to keep players engaged, and helped define the monetization strategy along with the UX and its integrations.

+ UI & 2D Art: I illustrated all non-character assets (environments, collectibles, power-ups, and more) and designed the game’s UI. I also integrated and animated all UI in engine.

+ Creative Direction: I overaw the overall creative vision, aiming for a premium, South Park-inspired feel, and ensured the visuals and gameplay experience stayed cohesive, polished, and appealing throughout.

+ Marketing : I helped create marketing material including trailers, key art and socials as well as help create core marketing strategies.
